The Welcome to Leeds Stage
The Welcome to Leeds Stage at Leeds Jazz Festival is our family friendly, open air, free stage on Cookridge Street.
Situated between The Light and Henry Moore Institute, the stage has its own seating area, and will have live performances and DJs from Friday 23rd - Monday 26th May, curated in collaboration with Leeds Conservatoire, Launchpad, DJ Lubi, Not a thing and JazzLeeds to bring you the best in local talent.
Situated between The Light and Henry Moore Institute, the stage has its own seating area, with food and drink on hand throughout the weekend, supplied by Radisson Blu and Browns. Our expanded food and beverage offering returns featuring a pop-up bar from North and food from KOTO Pan-Asian Street Food.
For the younger Jazz lovers of Leeds! Join the PLAY tent right beside the stage on Saturday from 11am - 3pm for Jazz Family Play. Young ones will be invited to express themselves creatively whilst listening to the music on the stage.
The Welcome to Leeds stage is produced by LeedsBID alongside Sound Channel and with backline support from Eiger Studios. Public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England alongside Launchpad pays artist fees on the Welcome to Leeds stage and we are incredibly thankful for their support.
Eiger Studios is a recording studio, rehearsal studio and event space just outside Leeds city-centre. Over the last decade they’ve been making records, throwing parties and providing rehearsal spaces and gear hire for the thriving community of bands within Leeds.
