Split

Split is the studio of designer Oli Bentley and specialises in design for the creative, cultural and non-profit sectors.

From their co-working space, Salts Works, based in Saltaire in the north of England, Split work across multiple disciplines for clients and on self-initiated projects. They create brands, album artwork, websites, books, exhibitions, installations, fonts and (often very large) prints. By working collaboratively with clients and communities, Split strive to create considered work that reflects the complexities of each individual brief, problem or subject matter.

Oli has worked with a wide range of musicians to create album artwork campaigns and identities through his work with Edition Records, The Leaf Label, Universal/Island Records and for independent releases.

Credits include album artwork for Dave Holland, Ben Wendel, Chris Potter, Comet is Coming, Dinosaur, The Bad Plus, Phronesis, Kneebody, Kurt Elling, Laura Jurd, Lionel Loueke, Miho Hazama, Matthew Bourne, Mark Lockheart, Tim Garland, Gilad Hekselman, Fergus McCreadie – whilst his work outside of jazz includes campaigns with the likes of Jack Garratt, Julia Kent, Snapped Ankles, Vessels and more.
